A capital campaign rooted in nature
Since 1972 Quarry Hill has been inspiring generations to connect with nature,
planting the seeds for a lifetime of discovery, learning and appreciation for
the natural world. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past
five decades, and we couldn’t have done it without the generous support
of our community.
Quarry Hill is designed to be your nature center—a resource for learning and
recreation in your backyard. Our success is rooted in the financial contributions
of individuals, businesses and organizations that believe in the importance of
connecting all to nature.
Can you help us continue our legacy, to be the place Where Nature Takes Root?
Here’s the situation. We love the fact that people continue to see Quarry Hill as
the go-to place for learning about science, nature and getting outdoors. Just last
year more than 104,000 visitors joined us for a program or simply enjoyed a visit to
the nature center and park!
But in all honesty, our aging facility can no longer keep pace with the momentum
we’re experiencing. Our exhibits are showing their age, our animals need
improved habitats and demand for our programs is at an all-time high. It's time to make improvements that will bring us into the next 50 years of being a community hub for nature education and recreation.
We believe in our work, and we think you do to. We’re grateful for the community
which has always rallied behind our cause. Contributions of any amount are
welcome and will make an immediate impact, but we need many of them to make up the final 10% of our $2.6 million dollar goal.
Our promise to you is that we will always stay rooted in nature and open to all. And we also promise that we’ll branch out to meet the changing needs of science and nature learning, yet remain the Quarry Hill you have come to know and love.
