Earth Day Celebration & Peregrine Falcon Presentation

April 23rd, 2:00 pm4:00 pm

Earth Day is a remarkable day that deserves celebration!  And what better way to do that than sharing an environmental success story? Join us at Quarry Hill Nature Center to hear all about the peregrine story and see a live falcon up close.

Learn what is being done right here in Minnesota to help the species and what we have discovered about them after 40 years of research. Following the program, try your hand at our Animal Survival Game.

Jackie Fallon, wildlife biologist, master falconer, and educator for over 30 years, will be our presenter and will bring along a live peregrine to help tell the tale of this admired falcon.

Program is offer at 2 pm and 3 pm.

At the conclusion of the program, the game is afoot! Join in for a family friendly survival game adventure. You mission when you step onto our life-sized outdoor game trail is to use your knowledge and animal instincts to help an animal survive for 10 days in the wild. What challenges will your face? Your choices will be the map that guides you through the trails. Answer correctly and hike your way to victory!

Animal Survival Game is entirely outdoors on unpaved trails. Activity takes approximately 45 mins.
